Ways to Sponsor the Chapter

Supporting and Funding the Chapter

As a nonprofit and charitable 501(c)(3) organization, STC WDCB never has the money for items that would make our activities run more smoothly. We rely almost exclusively on corporate angels that lend us their facilities and other resources for an evening event, a Saturday workshop, or the competition. Perhaps you are in a position to help us.

Forming Partnerships

The STC WDCB Chapter forms partnerships with related organizations to share events among their members and to help sponsor events. We are currently parterning with several other STC chapters to hold and support the STC Alliance Competition. This endeavor entails a collaboration with the STC chapters in Atlanta, New England, New York, Rochester, and South-Central Texas. For more information, see our Competition website.

We have formed partnerships with other related professional organizations for joint meetings and events. These include User Experience Professionals Association, DC chapter (UXPA DC)  Updated, ACM SIGDOC, Center for Plain Language, and the Write the Docs Washington, DC.

See our list of Related Professional Organizations for possible partnering.
