Congratulations to chapter member Marissa Levin! Marissa Levin, Founder and CEO of Information Experts, has been named as a Finalist in the Entrepreneur category for the 2004 Women in Technology Leadership Awards.

Every year, Women in Technology (WIT) recognizes women who have made an outstanding contribution to the information technology field. The awards will be presented at the annual Leadership Awards Celebration May 13, 2004, at the Sheraton Premiere, Vienna, VA. Kathleen Matthews, anchor of ABC 7's News at 5:00, will emcee the event.

Finalists were selected on their abilities to demonstrate mentorship, leadership, and success.

Marissa was also a Finalist for the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

2003

If you can still find a print copy, you will see a large photo of Information Experts employees and their families. The topic of the article was women's entrepreneurship: Mars vs. Venus extends to entrepreneurs, too by Jim Hopkins, USA TODAY.

Women CEOs balance career, motherhood [no longer available as of 2014]. In addition, Marissa was featured in a TV segment on CBS that ran nationally. Way to go, Marissa! We are proud of you.

Award for Excellence Awarded to Usability SIG Newsletter—Chapter member, David Dick, is the managing editor of the STC Society-level Usability SIG quarterly newsletter, Usability Interface, which received an Excellence award in the 2002 STC Chapter Newsletter Competition.
