2016-2017 Immediate Past Chapter President;
Formerly 2015-2016 Chapter President; 2014 First Vice President

Sean Stevenson has taken a long road to STC. He started as a creative writer who taught writing on the side. He worked at the Writers Guild trying to support himself, and realized eventually that he needed a career, not just a means to support himself. In 2008 he took a job at Northrop Grumman in Maryland as a Technical Editor and spent five years there. Steve works as a proposal manager at EMCOR Government Services in Arlington, VA and now writes for a living again.
Steve went to his first STC Summit in 2016, where he was surprised how many people there were involved in the same issues he was. He's very engaged with the Washington, DC – Baltimore (WDCB) Chapter community and excited to bring his energy to it. He helps bring in a great string of presentations the chapter has had, and started a regular series of lunches where members and non-member can socialize. Our chapter can build on the great social media work we've done, and bring our message to newer members and potential members. Steve has served as the chapter president, immediate past chapter president, and manager of the chapter's Summit 2017 Planning Committee.
Sean has an MFA in playwriting from the Actors Studio Drama School and a B.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago. He has taught English as a Second Language in Brooklyn, NY and been a Senior Graduate Writing Fellow at the New School in NYC.
