Daree Allen now lives and works in Atlanta, GA as an Information Developer for Alcatel-Lucent. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Professional and Technical Communication from SUNY Institute of Technology, and a Master's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Management (Management, IT, HR, Organizational Communication) from the University of Maryland. Daree has been an STC member since 1997 and served in various committee and officer positions with the Washington, DC – Baltimore (WDCB) Chapter since 2001, including First Vice President/Program Committee Manager, and Chapter President in 2003-2004.
Daree won several awards for her work in the Washington, DC Technical Communication Competition and is an avid participant in Toastmasters. Daree is now a member of the Atlanta chapter.
Daree's first book, What’s Wrong With Me?: A Girl's Book of Lessons Learned, Inspiration and Advice is a mentoring book for teen girls. It encourages girls to embrace their uniqueness and stay close to God. Book information is on her site at https://www.dareevoiceover.com/
